Our Impact
Wellspring Children’s Medical Centre is a paediatric community health centre situated in the village of Kamutuuza, near Masuka Uganda which serves some 400,000 children. It is operated by Medcare an English Registered Charity. The estate of the late Emmanual “Manny” Cohen funded the building of an adjacent rehabilitation unit for children with cerebral palsy and other debilitating illnesses. Wellspring also runs an outreach project into surrounding villages in the area. The Foundation provides funds for this outreach project. The above photograph shows a new unit and in front of the unit the “outreach van” and three of the staff engaged in the outreach project.
